Dnd 5e Monk Fighter Multiclass

Multiclassing Monks

Wisdom and Dexterity

Justification

It is often said that monks are either fighters with high Wisdom or spellcasters with high Dexterity. While this is generally true, there are some exceptions to the rule. For example, a monk with high Wisdom can still be a formidable fighter, even if their damage output is not as high as a monk with high Dexterity. This is because Wisdom gives monks a number of benefits, including increased AC, saving throws, and Ki points.

However, it is important to note that the benefits of having high Wisdom are not always enough to justify multiclassing into a class that requires it. For example, a monk who wants to multiclass into a cleric will need to have at least 13 in both Dexterity and Wisdom. This can be a significant investment, especially if the monk's Dexterity is already high. In addition, the benefits of being a cleric are not always worth the investment of multiclassing, especially for a monk who is already focused on combat.

Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to multiclass into a class that requires high Wisdom is a personal one. There are both benefits and drawbacks to doing so, and each monk should weigh the pros and cons carefully before making a decision.
