Joey Chestnut wolfed down 62 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes to win the mens competition of the Nathans Famous Fourth of July hot dog eating contest. This was Chestnuts 15th win at the event, and it ties him with Miki Sudo for the most wins by any competitor in the contests history. Sudo won the womens competition for the seventh time, eating 40 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes.

Both Chestnut and Sudo were pushed to their limits in this years contest. Chestnut was only able to eat one more hot dog than he did in 2022, and Sudo ate two fewer hot dogs than she did last year. The rain made the conditions slippery and difficult, but both competitors were able to overcome the challenges and win their respective competitions.
